Database Performance, Backup, Version Control, and Data Integration Issues
OWC encountered significant challenges related to database performance, backups, version control, and data integration. Additionally, they faced difficulties in accurately auditing their warehouse inventory and managing order processing. As a result, OWC’s customer service representatives lacked access to correct inventory information when handling client orders.

Prioritizing tasks from highest to lowest priority, TnZ implemented targeted solutions to enhance OWC’s database performance, backups, version control, and data integration challenges. Key initiatives included the implementation of a SQL AlwaysON solution to optimize website SQL Server database operations and address backup and disaster recovery needs. We further optimized OWC’s Data Warehouse architecture, structure, and performance, while enhancing and streamlining queries impacting transactional database performance. Additionally, we revamped existing SSIS packages and developed a framework for efficient package creation. Performance enhancements were also applied to SSAS cubes and Data marts, ensuring optimal performance. Lastly, we enriched OWC’s reporting capabilities by enhancing existing and creating new Power BI and SSRS reports tailored to meet the needs of their business users.
